Sound creates vibration and vibration creates a change of energy. A simple example to illustrate this is a tune that invites to dance. However, sound can also be used to improve health. This is an age-old concept. In many ancient cultures sound has been used for healing. For example, in India and surrounding countries mantras are used. Mantras are texts in Sanskrit that have an activating influence when sung to a certain energy-centre, due to the specific vibration caused by the words in combination with the sound. Our body is not only sensitive to sounds but also to rhythm. The body itself has several rhythms, like the heart rhythm and the rhythm of the cranial sacral system. Every organ has its own rhythm. Sometimes a rhythm in the body can be disturbed. With specialized kinesiology it is possible to discover a disturbed rhythm with specific manual muscle tests and to find out what the cause is of the disturbance. It is often possible to correct a disturbed rhythm. In my practice, I use therefore singing bowls, gongs and bells. Especially children react very well on this. It is possible to correct imbalances in unborn children during pregnancy with soft sounds. Sounds and vibrations can be part of a trauma too. To hear a similar sound or vibration in the present can be the reason for the imbalance that belongs to an old trauma to come up again. In that case, you feel just like you felt during the trauma. Here too, sound-therapy can help, combined with other methods. In my practice, I use sound therapy together with specialized kinesiology and cranial sacral therapy. |
